Vladimir Gandelsman

Vladimir Gandelsman:  is a poet and translator, born in 1948, in Leningrad.  In 1990 he was invited to teach Russian at Vassar College.  He also taught Russian language and literature at Indiana University where he led a student theater.  He has published poetry both in Russia and the United States.  His most recent books are, The Ode to the Dandelion(Russian Gulliver, Moscow, 2010), The Mind of Words (Time, Moscow, 2015).  His poetry appeared in multiple literary reviews, including Oktyabr, Ogonyok,Znamya,Novyi Mir,Novaya Yunost,Zvezda,and Ural.
