Stephen Burt

Stephen Burt: is a painter and printmaker. Born in Deland, Florida in 1962, educated at Rhode Island School of Design (BFA 1987) and SUNY Purchase (MFA 1991). He has exhibited in both international and national venues including most recently at the Bristol Art Museum, Bristol, RI, Zero Station, Portland, ME, the LC Bates Museum, Hinckley, ME, and the Aomori Municipal Art Pavilion, Aomori, Japan. His work has been acquired for inclusion in many public collections including those of the New Britain Museum of American Art, the Portland Museum of Art, the Fogg Museum at Harvard, the New York Public Library, and the Library of Congress. A member of Peregrine Press in Portland, Maine, he is Associate Professor of Art at the University of New England.
