Michael Kostiuk

Michael Kostiuk:  born 9 December 1944, Paris, Texas, USA. Since summer 1998 he has lived in Yamaguchi City, Japan. He studied art at the University of Texas at Austin, Art Institute of Maryland, and Visual Studies Workshop, Rochester. In 1972 he worked in commercial photography and film productions. Since 1973, he began to integrate his painting, drawing, sculptural techniques, and photography, to create ‘photographic objects’. Starting in 1974, he began producing Bookworks.
