You Are a Hologram
by Edward Sanders
“You Are A
Hologram
. . . . projected from the
edge of the universe”
shrieked the cover of New Scientist (for 1-17- 09 )
& sought I then to understand the text.
Spacetime seems to stop being smooth
& then seems to get granulated
or pixelated
as if the dots of a compu scan
& that our lives
as if we were the images in Plato’s Cave
are holographic projections of
events that take place
“at a distance”
on a two – dimensional surface.
As if the existence
of a huge black hole
in the core of our galaxy
wasn’t weird enough ! ! !
