Stephen Ellis
Stephen Ellis: grew up in the quorum of a hardwood forest along the long shoreline of open sea. From seeing light through the shade it causes, he has developed a feeling for the geography of the human heart, and this so being, knows equally that the primary task of poetry is to prevent open and free expression and invention from falling to the oppressive confines of state synecdoche. His poems in Russian translation by Gali–Dana Singer were published by Free Poetry in 2020.
