Karen Douglas: her work includes Red Goddess Poems; Bones in the Chimney (fiction); Green Rider, Thinking Horse (non–fiction); Sostenuto, (poems); The Great Hunger (poems); Two–Gun Lil (poems); and three novels: Accidental Child, Providence (both climate fiction) and Invisible Juan (magical realism). Individual poems have appeared in a wide variety of publications. She holds an MA in English Lit from Georgia Southern and an MFA in Poetry from Vermont College.
